This journey takes us to Chile’s natural wonders in Patagonia, the Lake District, and the unique Atacama Desert, with a special focus on inspiring encounters with locals. We will be part of the traditions of the indigenous Chilean people and you will get to know the lives of fifth generation German immigrants as well as Patagonian sheep breeders.

This Chile tour is focused on sustainability-oriented service providers, who are interested in environmental protection and support of the local population.

Welcome to the south of Chile! To start your vacations here you will have to arrive at the airport in Puerto Montt, you will have to go to pick up your Europcar rental car and drive via Puerto Varas along the beautiful shores of Llanquihue Lake, passing Frutillar to the German colonial village of Puerto Octay. On the way there, right at the airport, it is worth visiting, the small park Lahuen Ñadi, where thousands of old Alerce trees are located. This place is amazing and these trees are an important part of nature and the history of the area.

From Puerto Octay, continue along the Llanquihue Lake passing the impressive Cascadas waterfall to the volcano Osorno up to Teski Refuge. From here you can enjoy a view over the entire lake region, the Pacific, and even you get to see distant volcanoes of the Araucanía Region.

Especially at night, when the lights of the surrounding villages and towns approach, it is an unforgettable spectacle when one observes it from one of the heated wooden baths on the slope.

When you go back from the volcano, you will have this surreal volcanic dominating landscape until you get back to the Llanquihue Lake. The you continueto the Reloncaví Fiord. On the way there you can visit the waterfalls of Petrohué, the thermal baths of Ralún & the Lake Todos Los Santos.

When you get to Puelo, you leave the car and take a boat to the Puelo Mitico Lodge, which is located on the eastern shore of Tagua Tagua Lake. Incredible experience.

After breakfast, you can go on a hike to the virgin Tagua Tagua Valley. It is about 2 hours on a good hiking trail through a protected area until you get to a lagoon in the middle of the mountain range where you will see a refuge. On the way you can see, you will see Alerce trees that are thousands of years old.

Back in the car you will start driving on the south bank of the Reloncaví Fiords to Caleta Puelche where you take the ferry to Caleta Arena.

From here, you drive a few kilometers along the Carretera Austral with a view to the Pacific and then you keep driving until you reach the Alerce Andino National Park.

From the Alerce Andino National Park, head north via Puerto Montt to the airport.
